Almond Butter Chocolate Hearts for Valentine’s Day

Almond Butter Chocolate Hearts

Valentine’s day is such a fun holiday. I always loved celebrating with the kids when they were little and I used to make all sorts of fun treats for them. We always had so much fun preparing for their classroom parties – filling out Valentines, making their Valentine boxes and preparing treats for their classmates. Now that they are teens, we’ve done away with the corny Valentines and classroom parties but that doesn’t mean that we don’t celebrate any longer! I still get them a box of chocolates every year, make them tasty treats like these Almond Butter Chocolate Hearts and find fun ways to decorate the house.

I got the idea from these Almond Butter Valentine’s Hearts that I shared on Outnumbered 3 to 1 last year. They were so tasty that i just had to make them again and they were just as good this time around.

Instructions

Melt your candy melts, using whichever melting method you prefer.

Using a spoon, fill the mold about halfway with melted candy melts, using the tip of a butter knife to make sure it covers the entire mold.

Open the packet of almond butter and squeeze some into the mold, in the center.

Fill the rest of the mold with melted candy melts and smooth it out.

Chill for 10 minutes in the freezer.

See, these Almond Butter Chocolate Hearts really are that simple to make and they’re so tasty that the whole family will surely enjoy them! If you’re making them for a party, just make sure that noen of the kids have nut allergies before you decide to bring these in.
